Studio Discovery Tour

Labor Day weekend & the weekend after:
Saturday-Monday, September 1-3, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, September 8-9, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

During the 15th Annual Studio Discovery Tour, local artists from Stewarts Point to Little River open their private studios, providing visitors with the chance to meet the artists in person, see demonstrations, ask questions and purchase original and unique works of art.

"Top Hat" opening dinner & wine celebration. Chef Robert Schneider and Sous Chef Mary Wesley of the Sea Ranch Lodge will be in charge of the scrumptious dinner paired with La Crema wines. Diners will get a sneak peek preview of the Fine Art Exhibit even before it is judged.

Friday, August 17

Champagne preview of the artist booths from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and of the fine art exhibit from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. ($10 admission; children 12 and under are free) Judges' critique and award presentations begins at 6:00 p.m. in the outdoor amphitheater.

The heart of the festival is the display of fine art throughout the Arts Center. There will be live musical performances throughout the festival weekend. The grounds will be filled to the brim with artist vendor booths offering a host of items including jewelry, ceramics, wood, tiles, weavings, specialized apparel, leather goods, photographs, textiles, and artwork. Local service clubs will set up a variety of food, beverage and ice cream booths. Admission is $6 for adults; children 12 and under are free.

Over 400 pieces will be on display - including oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, photographs, sculpture, woodworking, stained and fused glass, jewelry and fiber arts - most of them for sale.

Redwood Coast Whale and Jazz Festival: Montclair Women's Jazz Ensemble

Montclair Women's Jazz Ensemble - six musicians selected from the Montclair Women's Big Band of Montclair, California. This group can swing mightily on standards and blues and also play tenderly on poignant ballads.

Martini bar, wine, beer and sweet & savory tapas plates available, prepared by the Gualala Arts Culinary Guild. Non-reserved cabaret style seating; admission is $30 in advance and $35 day of show - if available.
