Join us to explore the possibilities of the exciting medium of professional grade colored pencils! Come learn about this mixed media approach, combining pen and ink, wax-based pencil techniques and optional watercolor pencils (to add speed and variety to your colored pencil paintings). There will be mini demonstrations, step-by-step samples, tips on design and composition. There will be exercises with handouts and lots of personal attention. Previous drawing experience helpful but all levels welcomed.

Jenkins has taught art in the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Akron. In recent years she's become an increasingly sought after instructor of workshops on a variety of Colored Pencil and mixed media techniques. She's taught so far in Texas, California, Wyoming, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Maine, Ohio, and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is hoping to increase her travels!
