Alternatives
A Unique Photographic Experience

Opening Reception: Saturday, December 8, 2007, 5:00 p.m.
Exhibit remains through January 6, 2008
Burnett Gallery

Alternatives: Fern Mandala Seventeen 2-D and 3-D artists have been busy this summer creating new works of art exploring the use of photography in unusual ways. Sharon Nickodem, exhibit curator, challenged the artists to expand the definition of photography, by using alternative processes, methods and media.

Visitors to the exhibit can expect to be surprised, amused and enthralled by the imaginative art on display. There will be a wide range of subjects represented: including high heels, Greece, night lights, peacocks, ceramic blossoms, nudes, and even a little destruction.

Check out these unique works by Bill Apton, Jan Maria Chiappa, Peter Dobbins, Tom Eckles, Hal Martin Fogel, Dorise Ford, Jeanne Gadol, Paul Kozal, Sharon Nickodem, Christos Nikopoulos, Meg Oldman, Marion Patterson, Robert Schwein, Susan Shaddick, Richard Skidmore, Carol Tackett and Nancy Liela Wallace-Nelson.

The show remains on display through January 6, 2008. Bring your friends and relatives to the Gualala Arts Center as part of your holiday sight-seeing.
