The Gualala Arts Global Harmony Artists in Residence program welcomes Chilean artists Pablo Mc Clure and Soledad Leonicio for the entire month of June. These talented artists will be sharing their Chilean culture through their art, and by presenting workshops and special events that will showcase their Chilean inspirations.

Chilean Fine Art Exhibit
Opening Reception: Friday, June 5, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Exhibit remains through June 28 – Free Admission
Pablo McClure and Soledad Leonicio will display their works in this special exhibition of Chilean Fine Art, filling both the Jacob Foyer and Burnett Gallery with their paintings and sculptures.
Chilean Fine Art Exhibit – Artists’ Talk & Presentation
Friday, June 5, 6 p.m. in Gualala Arts Center Coleman Auditorium – Free Admission
Pablo McClure and Soledad Leonicio will present an audio/visual talk that will explain their inspirations and approach to their art, both individually and collaboratively.
Chilean Inspired Ceramics – Kids & Families
Global Harmony Workshop – Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, June 13, 2015, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. both days in the Arts Center Clay Studio
$25 Adults, $15 Youth 17 and under (Under 11 must be accompanied by adult)
Join renowned Chilean ceramic artist Soledad Leonicio for a 2 day class where she will introduce her unique artistic style to both children and adults. Soledad uses high temperature ceramic glaze and rust seeking to incorporate both materials to achieve a whole. This hands-on workshop will include creating, drying, glazing and firing ceramic art.

Join renowned Chilean painter Pablo Mc Clure for a 2 day class where he will introduce you to his unique painting style. Pablo uses colors diluted in oil that he moves with rags, brushes and spatulas. Many places on the canvas are virtually untouched and fixed in time.
The Art of Chilean Cooking – Kids & Families CANCELLED
Global Harmony Workshop – Thursday, June 11, 2015, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
$25 Adults, $10 youth 7 through 17 includes ingredients and tasting of food cooked
Sponsored in part by ProChile and featuring delicacies donated by Chilean food product companies altalena, Antartica Foods, Waqar Pisco and Aukas, this cooking class by Chilean artists Pablo Mc Clure and Soledad Leonicio will introduce students to the fine cuisine of Chile. Students will enjoy sampling the results of their efforts at the end of class.
