Exhibit Statement

Create artwork outside your comfort zone to push the viewer outside their comfort zone as well. The "uncomfortableness" can come from any arena including, but not limited to: political, physical, psychological, emotional, societal, etc.

Details

  1. Registration fee: $10 per for sale entries, $20 for NFS entries.
  2. Up to three entries allowed per artist.
  3. Registration fee waived for artists under 18.
  4. For this exhibit, artists are encouraged to use all media, 2-D and 3-D. The work submitted should be made within the past 2 years and not have been displayed on the South Coast.
  5. Gualala Arts will retain 30% commission on all sales of entries (and multiples) made during the course of the exhibit.
  6. Gualala Arts does not carry liability insurance for exhibited work and is not liable for any art work or installation, at any point in the process. If the exhibitor feels that liability insurance is necessary they are encouraged to purchase it.


The Entry Form

The Entry form provides basic information for the exhibit title card which is created by Gualala Arts. A title card will be displayed beside each piece. The information will include the unique Tracking Number, Artist’s name, Title, Media and the Selling Price. It is essential that this information is correct, since this information is used to track sales and send checks to artists.

  • Please fill out an Entry Form for EACH piece.
  • You can complete this form online or fill out a paper form available at Gualala Art Center.
  • When delivering the art, securely attach a label to each entry with the following information: Artist Name and Title


Artist Narrative

An "Artist Narrative" is not required; if you would like have one exhibited with your artwork include your concept, inspiration, or backstory, please enter the text in the form or email text to harmony@harmonyart.com no later than December 30th.



Hanging Information

Please ensure all artwork is professionally prepared for hanging or display (no saw-tooth hangers, no “clip frames”, etc.) and can be displayed with minimum of effort. NO screws or anchor bolts will be used for hanging; if needed, modify your art to be hung by wire & picture hanger. Gualala Arts is not liable for any art work or installation, at any point in the process.

The Opening Reception will be January 13, 2023 from 4-6 pm.
