About our Website
& other electronic communications
as of January 1, 2019
The Gualala Arts website, GualalaArts.org, currently contains approximately 2,400 web pages, 12,000 images and 2,200 pdf documents.
Summary
The website provides information on upcoming events, exhibits and workshops, as well as information about our interest groups and committees, and displays the work of local artists.
You can buy tickets to upcoming events, subscribe to Gualala Arts’ email lists, and explore opportunities for artists.
The website provides information about accommodations, food, beaches, parks and art galleries in the area for visitors, as well as information about renting the Arts Center for private events (weddings, conferences, etc).
Archive
After an event has occurred, its web page remains as part of our archive, to become part of Gualala Arts’ institutional memory. When we need to remember the details of a particular event, it’s easy to find.
Information about every performance, exhibit, workshop, festival, and edition of our Sketches newsletter since 2004 is available on the website. Older pages are displayed using the prior page layout; all events beginning January 1, 2015 are displayed using our new WordPress-based page layout.
You can view the archive chronologically by date (Past Events) or by category (Past Chamber Music concerts or Past Dolphin Gallery Exhibits, etc).
Navigation
Finding your way around the website is easy – you can get to any page in two or three clicks. Some examples:

Want to know more about the Chamber Music Series concerts?

Want to find something but don’t know where to look? Use the Search box on the upper right of every page (just above the top banner), and enter your query to search the entire website.
Statistics
In the past year, about 450 people visited the website per day, on average (not including search engine robots), which makes it one of the most popular websites in our area.
[The number of visitors is a more accurate measure of website activity than hits, but many websites report hits, so for comparison, the Gualala Arts website got more than 3.6 million hits in 2018.]The Gualala Arts Facebook page has been up for more than nine years, and has attracted over 1,800 people who “like” us. Recently, there have been over 200 active users per month.
We have hundreds of photo albums on Facebook documenting events at the Arts Center. We encourage you to comment, tag and send photos to family, friends and artists who might exhibit or perform at the Arts Center.
