Going Haywire, presented by Paula Haymond, opens Friday, January 8 from 4–6 p.m. in the Jacob Foyer, with the exhibit on view through February 7. Haymond’s show features inventive works made from metal wire and unexpected materials, creating multi‑dimensional pieces that play with movement and shadow. Using copper, aluminum, nickel silver, brass, and other metals, she transforms everyday components into one‑of‑a‑kind sculptures. A lifelong maker inspired by her grandfather’s workshop and a formative internship at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Haymond has created art from musical instruments, wine barrel rings, clocks, wood, and more, with work exhibited in Houston, Point Arena, and Gualala.
