2026 Festival of Trees – Vendor Application Friday & Saturday, November 27–28 Gualala Arts Center, Gualala, California

Gualala Arts invites artists and makers to apply as vendors for the 2026 Festival of Trees, a beloved holiday event held Thanksgiving Weekend. This two‑day indoor festival features fine arts and crafts, festive décor, community activities, and a warm holiday shopping experience. All proceeds support Gualala Arts’ mission: Promoting public interest and participation in the arts since 1961.

About the Venue

The Festival takes place inside the Gualala Arts Center, nestled among the redwoods on the Northern California coast at the Mendocino–Sonoma County line. The building is fully decorated for the holidays and climate‑controlled for a comfortable indoor shopping environment.

Booth Details

Booth spaces vary in size, generally 6–8 feet wide and 8–10 feet long. Artists must provide their own display equipment, including tables, walls, racks, and signage. Vendors must remain at their booth for the full duration of the event. Booth assignments are made by the Festival Committee with attention to overall show aesthetics. All booths must be fully broken down on Saturday after closing.

Fees & Requirements

  • Booth Fee: $125
  • Commission: 10% of all sales (excluding tax), payable to Gualala Arts at the end of the show
  • Membership: A current Gualala Arts membership is required to participate. You may join during the application process.
  • Artists process their own sales and are responsible for California Sales Tax.
  • A valid California Seller’s Permit Number is mandatory.

Setup Schedule

  • Wednesday, November 25: 10am–4pm
  • Friday, November 27: 8am–10am All vehicles must be moved 30 minutes before gates open.

Show Hours

  • Friday, November 27: 10am–4pm
  • Saturday, November 28: 10am–4pm The Arts Center is closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Artist Selection

Space is limited, and acceptance is not guaranteed. Selection is based on the quality and appropriateness of submitted work. High‑quality images are essential.

Image Requirements: Submit three images of your work and one booth image. Images must be TIF or high‑quality JPEG, minimum 1000 pixels on the long side. Images may be uploaded directly through the online application or emailed if applying by mail.

Applying by Mail

If you prefer to apply by mail:

  1. Complete the application form found here
  2. Include a check for your booth fee (checks are only cashed upon acceptance).
  3. Email your images to Scott Chieffo at scott@gualalaarts.org.
  4. Keep a copy of your application for your records.

Deadline

Applications must be postmarked by October 26. Notification of acceptance will be sent no later than November 2.
