Discover the beauty of local wildflowers. Explore a fresh, labeled collection of regional blooms and learn more about our native plants. Connect with botanists and fellow plant enthusiasts through:

  • 1PM Saturday
Botanist-led Wildflower Walk around the GAC grounds and the nearby meadow of Mill Bend Preserve
  • 1PM Sunday
Talk: Why Plant Names Are Important, by Nancy Morin, DKY Chapter President
  • 1-3PM Both days
    Drop-in Tinkering Together Activities:

         – Flower Dissection on Saturday
         – Abstract Botanical Printmaking on Sunday

As part of this event, you will be able to see hundreds of beautiful individual flowers that make up our meadows, creeksides, forests, and shrublands at the annual Wildflower Show hosted by the Dorothy King Young Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. Local botanists display carefully labeled samples of our wildflowers and are present to answer questions. This has been a popular celebration of our local flora since 2012.
