2026 Challenge Show

Important Dates to Remember:

Exhibit Opens:  Friday,  May 8, 2026 from 4-6 pm

Register by:      April 28, 2026

Drop off artwork:    May 6, 2026  from 11 am – 1 pm

Art Pickup:      June 8, from noon – 2 pm

Thursday, MARCH 19, 2026, we will host a “HOW TO FINISH YOUR QUILT” workshop. We will review the construction of the hanging sleeve and “How to Bind” and label your quilt.  Check back for more details

Rules:

1. Your finished quilt may be of any design, any size, but should reflect the theme of “Spring in Bloom”.
2. You must use one or more of floral themed fabrics purchased from The Loft.  Minimum purchase of fabric from The Loft is ½ yd. However, you do not need to use all of ½ yd of that fabric in your quilt.  You may choose any amount for your design, but it must be present on the front of your quilt.  When you purchase your fabric at The Loft, Maryse will add your name in our PPQG Quilt Challenge drawing for a fabulous prize!  These names will be collected from The Loft on May 8, 2026 and the drawing will occur at the reception.
3. One Entry per Quilter
4. The 2026 Challenge will also include an opportunity for the community to vote on Viewer’s Choice.
5. Please deliver your quilt(s) to the Gualala Arts Center on Wednesday, May 6, between 11 am – 1 pm. Each quilt must be properly prepared with a 4-inch hanging sleeve and accompanied by an appropriate quilt rod for display. Additionally, a label must be sewn onto the back of the quilt, clearly stating your name, the name of the quilt, the date it was completed, and the location where it was made.
6. All Artists exhibiting their artwork at Gualala Arts must be current Gualala Arts members and PPQG.
7. Registration fees are $10 for For Sale and $20 for Not For Sale entries
