The Gualala Arts Chamber Music Series continues its 2025 season with a thrilling performance by Fire & Grace, a genre-blending duo known for their seamless fusion of classical, folk, and contemporary traditions from around the world. The concert takes place Sunday, October 12 at 4 p.m. at the Gualala Arts Center.
Fire & Grace features Grammy-winning guitarist William Coulter and celebrated violinist David Greenberg, each bringing decades of musical mastery to the stage. Coulter, renowned for his steel-string guitar work, has toured internationally and collaborated with a wide range of artists across Celtic, classical, and folk traditions. His recent solo album, The Rolling Waves (2023), showcases music from Ireland and Sweden, while Fire & Grace’s 2021 release Alma explores the intersection of classical and traditional styles.
Greenberg, equally versatile, bridges the worlds of Baroque violin and Cape Breton fiddling. A graduate of Indiana University’s Early Music Institute, he has performed with top ensembles including Tafelmusik, Apollo’s Fire, and Concerto Caledonia. His groundbreaking work with Puirt A Baroque and his influential treatise The DunGreen Collection have cemented his reputation as a leading interpreter of 18th-century Scottish music.
Together, Coulter and Greenberg promise an electrifying afternoon of musical storytelling that spans centuries and continents. Their dynamic interplay and deep-rooted musical fluency offer audiences a rare and exhilarating experience.
Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the event. They are available at Gualala Arts, the Dolphin Gallery, and online at GualalaArts.org.
For lovers of chamber music, folk traditions, and genre-defying artistry, Fire & Grace is not to be missed.
