The Gualala Arts Chamber Music Series will present a special Donor Appreciation Concert on Sunday, May 18, at 4 p.m., featuring the exceptional young pianist Sora Corro, winner of the prestigious Ross McKee Piano Competition.
As part of its ongoing commitment to celebrating and supporting chamber music, Gualala Arts is expressing gratitude to its donors with this exclusive event with a reception following the concert. The concert is open to all Chamber Music Donors and welcomes guests who make a donation at the door.
A ninth grader at Irvington High School in Fremont, Corro has studied piano since the age of two and has already garnered widespread recognition for her talent. She has claimed top prizes at various international competitions, including the San Francisco and Chicago Internationals, and has performed in masterclasses led by distinguished musicians such as Steven Spooner, Mina Perry, Boris Slutsky, and Jean David Coen. This summer, she is set to attend Juilliard’s prestigious Summer Music Program—further cementing her status as a rising star in the classical music world.
The program for the evening will feature works by Chopin, Poulenc, Prokofiev, and Beethoven, offering attendees a rich and varied musical experience.
For those who have yet to become donors, Gualala Arts encourages attendees to contribute any amount at the door to support future chamber music programming.
This exclusive event is a unique opportunity to witness an extraordinary young talent while supporting chamber music in the community. Donors and guests alike are invited to enjoy an evening of exceptional artistry.
