Gualala Arts Theater is thrilled to announce the cast for its highly anticipated production of Fiddler on the Roof, set to take the stage on February 21, 22, 23, 28, and March 1, 2, 2025. This beloved musical, with its heartwarming story and iconic music, will be directed by Tony Salamone assisted by Bryn Elizan Harris, vocal direction by Sue Bohlin and Don Krieger,  who bring a fresh, yet faithful, vision to this timeless classic.

Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his efforts to maintain his traditions as external influences challenge the way of life in the Russian village of Anatevka. With memorable songs like “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” and “Matchmaker,” this production promises to delight audiences of all ages.

The cast, comprised of talented local performers, includes:

Gene Wright stars as the beloved Tevye, the patriarch of the family who struggles to balance his love for tradition with the changing times; Judi Johnson as Golde, Tevye’s strong-willed and loving wife, whose practicality helps hold the family together; Diane Baccaro as Tzeitel, the eldest daughter, who defies tradition to marry the man she loves; Faye Cabrera as Hodel, the intellectual second daughter, who falls in love with a revolutionary; Davina Allen as Chava, the third daughter, whose love for a non-Jewish man tests the limits of her father’s tolerance; Cash Brooks as Motel, the tailor who wins Tzeitel’s heart; Steven Mitchell as Perchik, the idealistic young student who challenges traditional values; Jon Handel as Lazar Wolf the wealthy Butcher; Katherine Conrad as Yente, the village matchmaker, with her unforgettable humor and meddling ways; Joel Rudinow as the wise and witty Rabbi; Randy Costa as the Constable; Ase Stornetta as Shprintze, the 4th daughter; Lily Peterscheck as Bielke, the youngest daughter; Patricia Wilson as Grandma Tzeitel; and sharing the role of Fruma Sara are Diane Baccaro and Nicole Goldman.

The production will also feature a talented ensemble of singers and dancers who will bring the bustling village of Anatevka to life including Charmaine Burell, Mary Cao, Michael Combs, Cheyenne Henderson, Linda McCabe, Jean Gallagher, Patrice Ingersoll, Kim Mitchell, Oly and Evy Perket, Lana Rippey, Thomas Rippey, June Wilson, and Paul Brancato as the Fiddler.
