The Gualala Arts Chamber Music Series presents an afternoon of exceptional musicianship as Marc Shapiro and Friends return to the Gualala Arts Center on Sunday, November 8 at 4 p.m. This distinguished ensemble- Susan Kang (flute), Amos Yang (cello), Dan Carlson (violin), Joy Fellows (viola), and pianist Marc Shapiro—brings together some of the Bay Area’s most accomplished classical artists for a richly expressive fall concert.
A longtime favorite among chamber music audiences, Shapiro is celebrated for his captivating presence and refined artistry. His collaborations gather colleagues whose collective experience spans decades on premier stages across the country and around the world. Their performances are known for blending technical brilliance with warmth, nuance, and deep musical connection.
The program will feature works by Duruflé, Copland, Ravel, and Schumann—an engaging mix of color, lyricism, and spirited ensemble playing that promises an inspiring afternoon of chamber music on the Mendonoma coast.
