Welcome to another outstanding year of chamber music as we launch the 2026-27 season by introducing new musicians to the Mendonoma Coast and inviting back some familiar faces for encores. Our season opens with the Tomodachi Quartet, featuring cellist Peter Wyrick and violist Amy Hiraga. Next spring we are excited to
welcome the New York-based Claremont Trio in March and highly acclaimed violinist Julian Rhee and pianist Angela Yoffe in April.
In our chaotic world, the Chamber Music Series offers a respite — a place to gather to hear works that challenge, soothe, even thrill us. Since chamber music first graced European salons, patrons have kept this intimate genre of classical music alive. It is no different on the Mendonoma Coast. Thanks to our generous donors, Mendonomans sit just a few feet away from some of the finest classical musicians in the world. In San Francisco, audiences pay five times more for tickets — not to mention parking — and can barely see the stage. At the Gualala Arts Center, audiences can watch fingers fly across piano keys and see the strings peel away from bows.
Last year, we dropped our ticket prices in hopes of attracting a wider audience. It worked. We saw an uptick in ticket sales and found ourselves adding chairs the day of the concert! However, the price of bringing musicians to the Mendonoma Coast did not drop. We are asking for contributions to support our upcoming season. For
