Sea and Sky- Paintings from Paradise

Paintings by DeDe Plaisted

Dolphin Gallery Exhibit

Opens Saturday, September 5 from 1-3 pm, exhibit up through September 27

My collection of “Paintings from Paradise” is a tribute to the sheer good fortune I have of capturing the ephemeral beauty of the sea and fleeting light. Each canvas is a reflection of being in the right place at the right time, allowing me to distill the ocean’s vibrant energy and ever-changing illumination at a moment in time. I am deeply grateful to live this dream daily translating that profound joy of connection into every brush stroke.

50 years ago as wood was crackling in the old wood cookstove I scribbled on a little scrap of brown paper and tacked to the wall of my little cabin in the woods a
poem that’s still true today!
Row row row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily Merrily Merrily
Life is but a dream!
