
CoastSing, the Mendonoma coast’s community chorus, will present A History of Love: From the Sacred to the Forbidden on Sunday, May 10 at 4 p.m.,This year’s program spans centuries of musical expression, weaving together traditional works with contemporary favorites. Audiences will enjoy songs made famous by Adele, Agnes Obel, Graham Nash, the Grateful Dead, Hoagy Carmichael, Irving Berlin, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell, and others. The performance promises an afternoon of musical “secrets,” unexpected turns, and emotional resonance, all delivered with CoastSing’s signature warmth and spirit of connection.
Tickets are $20 in advance, +$5 the day of, and are available at the Dolphin Gallery, Gualala Arts and online at GualalaArts.org. $100 Sponsor Tickets with Select Seating are available online only.
About Director Sue Bohlin and Bob Geary: In addition to directing CoastSing & composing/arranging, Sue serves on the Board of Directors at the Gualala Arts Center, plays piano for Shepherd by the Sea church, participates in the music production for local theater productions, and teaches voice and piano. Bob continues to conduct his professional choir Volti, the SF Choral Society, and Piedmont Choirs’ Ancora. The couple divides their time between their home in Anchor Bay and their liveaboard boat in Sausalito.
