Brushes and Digits

Mike Connor Presents

Dolphin Gallery Exhibit

Opens Saturday, January 3 from 1-3 pm, exhibit up through February 1

Dolphin Gallery is proud to present Brushes and Digits, a captivating solo exhibition by local artist Mike Connor, opening Saturday, January 3 with a reception from 1 to 3 pm. The show will remain on view through February 1.

In Brushes and Digits, Connor explores the intersection of traditional painting and digital innovation. By layering original abstract works with digital enhancements, he creates new compositions that blur the boundaries between analog and algorithmic, gesture and geometry.

Best known for his abstract painting projects, Connor’s work examines the relationship between form and fluidity. Born in Minneapolis, he briefly attended the Minneapolis School of Art before relocating to California, where he spent nearly four decades as a Creative Director in Silicon Valley’s advertising industry. A near-death experience profoundly shifted his artistic perspective, infusing his work with a lucid, non-linear narrative style that reflects what he describes as “going somewhere else.”

This exhibit offers a rare glimpse into Connor’s evolving visual language—through both brushstroke and pixel.
