Gualala Arts is hosting an engaging and educational cooking class, The Art and Science of Nutritional Cooking, on Wednesday, June 4, from 5-7 p.m.
Taught by Marlowe Bassett and Isis Melinda Israel, this hands-on workshop will teach attendees the secrets to healthier, toxin-free cooking using state-of-the-art cookware. Participants will learn how to retain more flavor and nutrients in their meals while avoiding risks such as heavy metals and chemicals leaching into food.
The class includes the preparation of recipes like a refreshing summer salad and a flavorful mushroom-artichoke summer squash mac and cheese, designed to nourish the body and soul. The goal of the workshop is to empower participants with the tools and knowledge to elevate their cooking, enhance nutrition, and foster a healthier lifestyle.
The event is open to all, whether a seasoned chef or a beginner, and promises a welcoming environment for community connection and knowledge-sharing. The fee is $30 for Gualala Arts members and $60 for non-members. Sign up by May 28 at GualalaArts.org or at the Gualala Arts front desk.
