The Gualala Arts Theater is thrilled to announce auditions for its upcoming production, What the World Needs Now: The Music of Burt Bacharach. From the creative team that brought you the 2025 Winter Production of Fiddler on the Roof at Gualala Arts. The heartfelt musical revue, directed by Tony Salamone with musical direction by Sue Bohlin and Don Krieger, will celebrate the timeless melodies of Burt Bacharach, taking audiences on journey of sound of 70s popular music.

An Information Night will be held on April 14 at 6 p.m. at Gualala Arts. This event offers attendees the chance to learn more about the production, meet with Director Tony Salamone, and get audition details.

Auditions are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, April 21 and 22 from 6-8 pm.  Performers will be required to sing a Burt Bacharach song for their audition.

Director Tony Salamone shared, “Curious about being part of this unforgettable celebration of Burt Bacharach’s timeless music? Come to our Information Night to learn more about the production, meet the creative team, and get audition details!”

The production is looking for singers, actors, and dancers to bring Bacharach’s legendary music to life on stage. Performances will be held on the following dates:

  • Friday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m.
