St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge, is home to not one but two chapel choirs. This April, one of these choirs, the St. Catharine’s Girls Choir, will visit the Mendonoma Coast. As the first college-based girls’ choir in the UK for school-aged girls, the choir has a rich history of performances and tours. Recent destinations include Singapore and Northern Italy, and now, they are bringing their exceptional talents to Gualala, California.
The program for this performance will include settings by James Burton of “The Lost Words,” a series of delightful, funny, approachable poems by Robert Macfarlane. The performance will be complemented by projections of Jackie Morris’s beautiful illustrations, making for a presentation that will be engaging for all ages.
