Gualala Arts is excited to present a new workshop titled “Landscape Drawing,” led by the esteemed instructor Marty Kitzel. Scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday November 12-14, from noon – 3 pm where participants can delve into the art of landscape drawing. Emphasizing the essentials of contour, value, and perspective, this workshop is designed to refine the foundational skills of artists at any level. Attendees will have the chance to enhance their observational abilities, translating the beauty of the natural world into compelling pieces of art. The workshop is priced at $100 for Gualala Arts members and $130 for non-members. Instructor Marty Kitzel is retired from the construction industry but always kept drawing and painting in his spare time, taking on various projects from album art, to sign painting, to furniture design and portraiture. Marty divides his time between Gualala and Sonoma Valley, drawing, painting and gardening. He also has extensive education in painting, and printmaking while studying at St. Bonaventure University, Buffalo State College, and earned a degree in illustration from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
