Jolente De Maeyer and Nikolaas Kende, the renowned musical duo known for their symbiotic playing and pervasive lyricism, have established themselves as one of the leading musical duos in Europe. ​ With their exceptional synergy and harmony, they have garnered enthusiastic reviews from the press. ​

Both De Maeyer and Kende have had successful solo careers before joining forces as a duo. ​ They have performed as soloists with major Belgian orchestras, including the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic. ​ Their concert tours have taken them to prestigious venues such as the Festivals of Flanders and the Guiting Festival, as well as concert halls in Belgium, the Netherlands, and various international locations. ​

In addition to their performances, De Maeyer and Kende are highly respected educators. ​ They are professors at conservatories in Belgium and the Netherlands, and have conducted masterclasses in several countries including Germany, Italy, and China. ​

De Maeyer, a leading Belgian violinist, has received numerous awards and accolades for her virtuosity and passionate interpretations. ​ She has performed with major orchestras and at renowned concert halls and festivals around the world. ​ Her recordings, including concerti by Saint-Saens and Vieuxtemps, have been highly acclaimed. ​

Kende, a highly demanded pianist, has also garnered praise for his poetic playing and passionate musicality. ​ He has won several competitions and has performed piano concertos with orchestras such as the Brussels Philharmonic and the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. ​ His performances have taken him to concert halls and festivals across Europe and the United States. ​

Together, De Maeyer and Kende have released two critically acclaimed albums. ​ Their duo recording, ‘Kreutzer Sonata’, won the Gold Label Prize for best chamber music album of 2016. ​ Their latest album, ‘Remains’, released in 2020, has also received high praise. ​

With their combined talent and musicality, Jolente De Maeyer and Nikolaas Kende continue to captivate audiences worldwide with their spellbinding performances and imaginative interpretations. ​ Their contributions to the world of classical music are truly remarkable.
