A Smartphone Camera Workshop Returns To Gualala Arts. “Oh, I wish I had my camera: HEY YOU DO!!” with instructors Susan and Neil Silverman is set for Saturday. December 2, 2023 from 10 am – 4 pm. Registration is available at the Gualala Arts Front Desk and online at EventBrite.com.

This workshop is appropriate for all ages and all levels of experience. We not only discuss the phone settings, but also inspire and mentor on how to MAKE a great photo, not just take a snapshot!! The phone cameras are wonderful and powerful devices and we will enlighten you on how to make the most of it. It will be a fun and stimulating class—and you will be able to create and save photos that you will want to share, print and that will help preserve memories of special people, times, and trips.

Part One : Getting Started
• Gaining control over your camera with basic settings, compositional considerations
Part Two: Diving Deeper
• Controlling the camera for more control of exposure, focus, shutter speeds, choice of lenses
Part Three: Going All In
• Panoramic, close up photography, portraits, filters, videos.
Part Four: Wrapping It Up
• Artistic considerations, some great apps for fine tuning images and creativity
**All camera phones are welcome, but we will be demonstrating on an iPhone
