Winter Wonderland has come to a close. The trees were beautiful and brought to mind images of the season, and many of the trees went home with visitors to Gualala Arts.
Mrs. Claus and her helpers delivered delicious cookies, pies and more to add sweet treats to holiday tables. And, of course, See’s Candies were a popular choice for gift giving.
Unique gifts for friends and family created by area artisans were a popular choice for holiday giving. Harald Eric Norvold brought his Viking Pottery ceramics. Ling-Yen Jones, working mainly in silver, semi-precious stones, and pearls created created beautiful jewelry. Siobhan of Siobhan Silks brought sensual, spirited wearables. Kathryn Weiss offered her glass beads in a rainbow of colors. The works of the Gualala Arts Collage User Group, a community of artists, were a popular choice. Marla Skibbins’ offered jewelry and glass, and were a popular stop. Michelle Kirby cdisplayed her custom jewelry. Members of the Gualala Arts Clay Studio had beautiful and functional ceramics. The members of the Pacific Piecemakers Quilt Guild displayed beautiful (and highly prized) quilts. Andrea Allen’s Chinese Brush style paintings, ceramics, urns, prints and greeting cards proved popular as well.
Visitors found a wide variety of Gualala Arts-branded gifts. There are wearables, like caps, hats, tee-shirts and aprons, plus wine glasses, water glasses, champagne flutes, pens and notepads. New this year is the Gualala Arts hoodie. There is also a large selection of beautiful gift cards and photographs by Scott Chieffo. NOTE: Our Gualala Arts gifts and wearables are available for purchase year-round.
Adding to the fun was the return of the Holiday Silent Auction. Decorated trees were, as usual, very popular with visitors looking through the Silent Auction items. Just as popular were the donated items—wine, gift baskets, gift certificates and more. Silent Auction items were donated by Ling-Yen Designs, Siobhan Silks, Lisa’s Luscious Kitchen, Gualala Nursery, Accents by the Sea, The Loft, Gualala Supermarket, Gualala Sport & Tackle, Surf Market, The Ranch Cafe, Sea Ranch Supply, the Wine Shop, Lyndon Design Gallery, Birdsong Clinic and Tea Shop, the Nicolette Collection, David Yager Pottery & Tempra Faye Designs. Here’s the Silent Auction map.
Music was clearly in the air throughout November and December, with special performances by a number of local musical contributors. Don Krieger, The Bell Ringers, Lorri Pimentel, CoastSing, and The Broke Trio entertained one and all during Winter Wonderland.
Santa Claus was seen meeting, greeting, and offering his best “Ho-Ho-Ho” to children and adults alike. Many dropped letters to Santa into the special “Santa’s Mailbox”.
And a special Thank You to all of our donors!
You are very much appreciated.
