Dear Gualala Arts Patron,
Gualala Arts is dedicated to continuing our mission to promote public interest and participation in the arts since 1961!

Our new motto is to plan, adjust, see what the day brings, try to get some rest, and adjust AGAIN!

The Gualala Arts Center & Dolphin Gallery have been open all this year. With the hard work and perseverance from our artists, volunteers, donors, and staff, we managed to have an Online! AND in person Art in the Redwoods, with fantastic performances by the Mendocino Dance Project and several of our favorites from past years.

I am proud to share with you: The Board of Supervisors and Arts Council of Mendocino named Gualala Arts as an “Arts Champion!”

Gualala Arts Center is honored for its years of diverse arts programming, and for rising to the challenges of the pandemic with grace, never abandoning its mission to support and encourage arts in the community of the South Coast. “Gualala Arts implemented online exhibits, outdoor concerts, and kept art alive in our community even during the pandemic,” writes one nominator. Another said, “This past year, with COVID raging and art centers closing their doors, Gualala Arts reimagined itself using low-cost tools to create an online platform for artists and the community to experience their annual Art in the Redwoods 59th (& 60th!) Exhibits, … then dedicated resources to assist artists with the transition to online, … (and) share this acquired knowledge and experience with other arts organizations.”

Your past donations have been put to good use. With savvy planning, your Arts Center has managed to stay vital through a pandemic.

But now, we need your help to bridge the gap to the end of the year for operational cost shortcomings this 4th quarter of 2021.

We remain dedicated to continuing our mission to promote public interest and participation in the arts, and with your help, we will continue to do so for years to come. We have an awesome 2022 in the planning & budgeting, and we look forward to sharing more art with you.

Remember, YOU make a difference!
Leading with love, cautious optimism & sincere gratitude!
