The Korbel Champagne Preview, Wine Tasting & Auction has come to be identified with the Soroptimists International of Mendocino-Sonoma Coast, Inc., (SIMSC) Architectural Tour that happens each year on Mother’s Day weekend. The SIMSC Architectural Tour is a self-guided tour of new, newly remodeled, and historically significant homes on the northern Sonoma and southern Mendocino Coast at The Sea Ranch, and homes in Anchor Bay.
The Gualala Arts wine tasting and auction is the premier wine event on the Sonoma Mendocino coast, featuring award winning wineries pouring a wide selection of their premium wines. Over 100 wine related auction lots will be available for silent bidding both days of the event. The Wine Tasting & Auction is hosted at the Gualala Arts Center, an architectural gem nestled in the redwoods with a dramatic auditorium and foyer.
The Korbel Champagne Preview is an elegant evening of wine tasting and an opportunity to place early bids on wine lots and check out all of the raffle prizes and art exhibits.
Everything starts with the Korbel Champagne Preview the Friday before the auction, where people have a chance to put in early bids and view the wines, raffle items, and art exhibits before the tasting on Saturday. Many local wineries and businesses donate premium auction lots such as bottles of award-winning wines, wine related gifts, luxurious lodging packages, golf packages, winery tours, and other great items. Make what you hope to be winning bids on your favorites, knowing that the proceeds will help promote public interest and participation in the arts. The Wine Tasting & Auction is one of the largest private wine tastings in Mendocino County and is a wonderful event to showcase your business.
