WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This self defense class is all about empowerment. The skills, tools and information presented will introduce you to techniques, physical and mental, for diffusing, and if called for, handling threatening or potentially dangerous situations. Physics rather than strength make self defense possible for everyone regardless of their physical condition. If you use a cane, walking stick or hiking poles these can be part of a self defense tool kit. The workshop will include an introduction to their use.
Bring: water, snack, lunch; To wear: Sneaker-type shoes and comfortable clothing
LINI LIEBERMAN-ERICH BIO
Lini Lieberman-Erich is a Martial Arts Master who has been practicing for 40 years. Lini has a teaching credential in physical education and has developed and taught accredited self defense courses at all levels: elementary, high school and college. She has taught self defense workshops at the request of county mental health departments, police departments, as well as rape crisis/domestic violence centers. Currently she is the contracted self defense instructor for Project Sanctuary (a rape crisis/domestic violence center in Ft. Bragg) and has been teaching their workshops for 25 years. In addition, Lini is a certified personal trainer as well as a post rehab conditioning specialist.
