“Gualala Arts Winter Wonderland” is Coming in November and December.
Christmas Tree Competition Registration.
The holidays return to the Arts Center again this year with Gualala Arts’ Winter Wonderland, opening Monday, November 23 and continuing daily (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day) through Wednesday, December 30, from 11 am to 4 pm. It’s a Kick-off to the Holiday Season on the Mendonoma Coast. Admission is free.
Recorded Carols and holiday classics will fill the halls while you shop in a wonderfully decorated arts & crafts holiday boutique of special hand made items to choose from. Santa Claus will be visiting both days.
Artists and food artisans fill the Arts Center with handcrafted ceramics, quilts, ornaments, clothing, woodworking, art, Gualala Arts Merchandise, See’s Candies, homemade jams and the like… wonderful gift items to choose from just before the holidays!
Friends of the Cookhouse will have Chili and Chowder TO GO!
Mrs. Claus will be working overtime to fill her Bake Shoppe with home-baked goodies such as candies, pies and cookies and other sweets, made from family recipes. She’ll package all to take home, and all will be a great addition to the holiday weekend dessert tables when family and friends abound!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will have their special mailbox to accept childrens’ letters to Santa with their wants and wishes throughout the Winter Wonderland! It’s cheerful good fun for the family that puts everyone in the holiday mood!
Beautifully decorated ornate Christmas trees of all sizes will be available for purchase.
Adding to the holiday spirit is the Christmas Tree Competition, a favorite tradition and fundraiser for Gualala Arts. A variety of trees—different shapes and sizes—are available to be taken home and decorated as you see fit.* Those trees will then be returned to the Arts Center and placed on display as part of the Winter Wonderland, and in turn be available for purchase by members of the community to help with Gualala Arts’ holiday fundraising. Whether your decorating preference is for a small table-top tree, a room’s centerpiece or something in between, the Christmas Tree Competition is a community favorite.
Join the competition for the bragging rights or just for the fun of it. The effort can be your own, or with a club, workshop or artists’ group. Bring your Christmas Tree-decorating “A-game” and get into the spirit of the season. Contact the Arts Center to get more information at GualalaArts.Org.
*The decorations will be considered a donation to the Arts Center.
