Gualala Arts Local Eyes will have a cabaret show on Saturday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m for a Cabaret. Tony Ariola (aka Teo) brings back "Teo's 5 Deuces Nightclub,"
the original setting for his 2009 production of
Ain't Misbehavin'.
Once again, Gualala Arts Center Coleman Auditorium will be transformed into a "speakeasy," reminiscent of the famous Manhattan nightclubs of the late 1920s & 1930s like the Cotton Club and The Savoy Ballroom.
The musical revue will showcase some of Teo's favorite musical numbers from Broadway hits such as
Chicago, Eubie, The Color Purple, and Ain't Misbehavin'
along with other jazz and bluesy favorites.
Joining Teo will be some of the original cast of Gualala Arts theater production Ain't Misbehavin' -- Haidi Hatfield, Laurie Kreger and Wayne Harris. Also performing will be Bryn Harris. They will be accompanied by a live band with some of Mendonoma's most talented musician such as Norm Fast, Don Krieger, Eric Kritz, Harold Mann and Gloria Wood.
The doors will open an hour prior to the show so you can be seated at a table and be served a small delicious dinner plate featuring Filipino cuisine prepared by Teo and his crew. Spirits service will also be available for purchase.
If you missed Teo's production of
Ain't Misbehavin',
you definitely won't want to miss this one. Two performances only with limited seating so buy your tickets now and come on down for another rollicking, swinging, finger-snapping, jazzy & bluesy revue.
Tickets are $28 in advance, $5 more day of the performance,
and include a small dinner plate of Filipino cuisine.
For advance purchase, go to
