The title of this year's quilt is "Tequila Sunrise."
"Tequila Sunrise," the spectacular 2013 Pacific Piecemakers Quilt Guild's Art in the Redwoods quilt is now on display at Gualala Arts Center. Raffle tickets can be purchased through August 18 (final day of Art in the Redwoods), when the lucky winner will be announced at 3:00 p.m. The winner need not to be present to win.
The large, bed-sized quilt is a masterpiece in Southwest-style jewel tones. It was made by skilled PPQG quilters Polly Dakin, Lola DeLongoria, Joyce Gaudet and Laura Hamilton and expertly quilted by Sharon Malachowski.
All proceeds from the raffle go to
scholarships
for young people in our community. Last year over $2,700 was awarded to four deserving young women.
Tickets are $2 each, three for $5, seven for $10, or fifteen for $20 and are available at Gualala Arts Center.
