The trees have arrived! Gualala Arts has consistently offered the largest selection of trees on the Mendonoma Coast, and 2021 is no exception. The Foyer is filled with trees of all sizes, and visitors will almost certainly find just the tree they\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n
Mrs Claus has been baking lots of pies, cookies and other holiday fare to purchase and take home to enjoy.<\/p>\n
Finding unique gifts for friends and family is easier than ever during Winter Wonderland as local artisans bring their special arts and crafts to Gualala Arts. Harald Eric Norvold<\/strong> will be offering his Viking Pottery ceramics. Working mainly in silver, semi-precious stones, and pearls, Ling-Yen Jones<\/strong> brings jewelry that is sure to please. Siobhan<\/strong> of Siobhan Silks creates evocative, sensual, spirited wearables. Kathryn Weiss<\/strong> creates her glass beads in a rainbow of colors at Fogline Studio here on the coast.\u00a0The works of the Gualala Arts Collage User Group<\/strong>, a community of artists, incorporates a delightful display of mixed media techniques. Marla Skibbins<\/strong>\u2019 jewelry and glass is infused with intentions of courage, love, wisdom and gratitude. Michelle Kirby<\/strong> will be displaying her custom jewelry. Members of the Gualala Arts Clay Studio<\/strong> bring beautiful and functional ceramics, and the members of the Pacific Piecemakers Quilt Guild<\/strong> bring quilts that are highly prized. Andrea Allen<\/strong> creates Chinese Brush style paintings, ceramics, urns, prints and greeting cards.<\/p>\n Visitors will find a wide variety of Gualala Arts-branded gifts.There are wearables, like caps, hats, tee-shirts and aprons, plus wine glasses, water glasses, champagne flutes, pens and notepads. New this year is the Gualala Arts hoodie. There is also a large selection of beautiful gift cards and photographs by Scott Chieffo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Adding to the fun is the return of the Holiday Silent Auction<\/strong> and Raffle<\/strong>. Raffle tickets are available at Gualala Arts and the Dolphin Gallery. Tickets are $5 each, or 3 for $10, or 7 tickets for $20. Raffle prizes include two \u00a0Murano glass goblets, two\u00a0Electra Cruisers bikes, a\u00a0Champagne basket,\u00a0Jim Beam collectable decanters,\u00a0Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey,\u00a0Magnum of Murder Ridge Pinot Noir,\u00a0Ling Yen Designs Earrings,\u00a0Dansbury Mint Gold Ornament Collection, and a painting by Jesse Wood.<\/p>\n Music will be in the air throughout November and December, with special performances by a number of local musical contributors.\u00a0Saturdays will feature Don Krieger<\/strong> playing piano from noon to 1 pm (except December 4. That week he will be playing on Friday, December 3.)\u00a0The Bell Ringers<\/strong> will be performing during Winter Wonderland, and visitors can enjoy their holiday sounds on Friday the 26th and Saturday, December 4th, from noon to 1 pm both days. Lorri Pimentel<\/strong> will offer piano favorites on Wednesday, December 8 from noon to 1 pm. The Coastal Singers<\/strong> bring musical joy on Friday, December 17 at 3 pm. \u00a0\u00a0The Broke Trio<\/strong> will entertain on Saturday, December 18 at 1 pm (and possibly on the 19th at 2 pm.)<\/p>\n Santa Claus<\/strong> will be visiting at about 2 pm each day on Thanksgiving weekend to check Santa\u2019s special mailbox where he\u2019ll find all of the childrens\u2019 letters to Santa with their wants and wishes! Santa will return most weekends at 2 pm. It\u2019s cheerful good fun for the family that puts everyone in the holiday mood! Although no food or beverages will be served on the grounds of Gualala Arts, Mrs. Claus\u2019s treats\u2014freshly prepared from the commercial-grade kitchen at Gualala Arts\u2014will be a delicious take-it-home option, and there will also be boxes of See\u2019s Candies for sale.<\/p>\n Executive Director David \u201cSus\u201d Susalla adds, \u201cDue to Mendocino County requirements, proof of vaccinations during live performances are required for all performers, visitors, staff and volunteers.
