You have likely heard that fermented foods are good for you. But if you haven\u2019t, I will tell you: fermented foods are good for you. The good news is that they are also easy to make right in your own home with just a few easy to purchase items. In this class, Jill will review the important aspects of fermenting and why it\u2019s healthful.\u00a0 You will learn to make your own sauerkraut- flavored to your taste, kimchi and fermented nut and\/or seed cheese. This is a hands-on class and materials will be provided. You will be taking home a jar of each ferment that you have made. Jill will teach you how to continue the process at home for better health, flavor and longevity.<\/p>\n

Jill Nussinow aka The Veggie Queen\u2122 is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, cookbook author and chef\/instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College. She also has a business called Coastal Brine Delights and makes custom fermented products that include local vegetables and other resources. She has been a presenter at The Sonoma County Fermentation Festival for many years showing people how to make kichi, pickles, fermented seed and nut cheese as well as her specialty: fermentillas. She loves to share the joy of fermenting with anyone interested in this almost \u201clost art\u201d.<\/p>\n
