An historical investigation into and critical discussion about fiction by and about women, leading to heightened appreciation for roles of women in earlier and present-day society.
About the instructor
Ida Rae Egli was raised in Mendocino County and taught English and Creative Writing at Santa Rosa Junior College and was department chair there for many years. She has edited two books, No Rooms of Their Own: Women Writers of Early California and Women of the Gold Rush: Frances Fuller Victor and the New Penelope, and she has published poetry and short stories in diverse literary publications. She is presently finishing a novel about women in World War II Greece. She lives on The Sea Ranch.
