Beginners as well as advanced felters are very welcome to join us for a weekend of felting.
On Saturday, you will have the opportunity to explore Nuno felting. You will be introduced to the tools, materials and methods used to make this amazing process happen. It's like painting with fibers and the possibilities are endless.
To go beyond the Nuno basics, we will cover using cotton and other fabrics, creating designs on both sides of the fabric, and adding a ruffle, fringes and 3-D designs. How to create a garment will also be covered.
Sunday the focus will be on shaped felting. You can choose to make a hat, vessel, purse or shoes. It amazes me that you can make boots to fit starting with a bunch of fluffy wool that looks like cat hair! It is magic. This is a workshop full of fun and lots of room to use your imagination.
