A class for beginning quilters with no previous experience or for those who would like to brush up on the basics. The class size will be small so that each student may receive lots of individual attention. Basic quilting skills will be taught.
Students will make ten different quilt blocks while learning cutting and piecing so that the student can select the one with which they are most comfortable. Color selection and use is emphasized.
About Kalynn Oleson
I have been sewing since I don't remember when, but was drawn into quilting about 12 years ago. I have found quilting a great creative outlet for my love of fabric and color. I belong to 3 guilds and each one has had it's own set of teachers and mentors that have helped me stretch my talents in my quilt journey. I now want to pass my quilting knowledge and passion along to someone new to this wonderful circle of quilting, both the art and the people that you will meet in your journey.
About Jan Carter
Jan has been sewing all her life, and quilting for the past 6-7 years. She is a former president of PPQG, and she co-taught the beginning class. One of her quilts was accepted into an exhibit seen at quilt shows in Houston, LA, and Chicago, and a photo of it was published in a book about quilting. Jan loves just about everything having to do with quilting. In her spare time she fondles fabric.
