Somatic Expression - letting the soma (the body) express itself - is a creative approach to physical practice and mind / body integration. Based on learning what nature has already given us as human bodies, this method is a way for you to explore and master your own body from the inside out with the five elements of breath, vocalization, contact, movement and stillness.
We will explore these five languages of your body (soma) and bring them out into action (expression) in order to enable more grace, joy, ease and pleasure. This approach uses a structured, yet playful process so your creativity, self-expression and wonderful idiosyncrasies are greatly encouraged! In this 6-week class, we will have the opportunity to build a common somatic vocabulary as a group, have some fun, and do something good for our health as well.
No experience necessary; wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat for lying on the floor. For more information, go to
