Learn or continue your learning of the felting process during this weekend workshop. The fundamentals of felting, the characteristics of wool from different breeds as well as color and design will be discussed.
Use hand dyed natural fibers including wool, silk and mohair in a wonderful color palette to "paint" your unique design on the project you choose to make. Demonstrations will include washing a fleece, dyeing fibers in the microwave, Nuno felting and tricks to make a good, flat piece of felt.
Create your own strong, felted rug as one idea for your weekend project or go to the other extreme and make a lightweight, Nuno felted scarf or experiment on your own with Carin as your guide.
