This is a workshop for people who want to develop their own expressive and unique painting style. Using a combination of transparent and opaque watercolor, with other media, and big brush approach, you will learn to explore the "active" nature of watercolor and how to "allow" it to serve you in your development as a painter. Karen will lead you in this exploration by demonstrating simple color harmony techniques and ways to create strong designs.
Mendocino landscapes...forest, rivers, the sea... will serve as the inspiration for this painting experience. Expect uninterrupted time to paint, individual assistance and a chance to review your development in a supportive environment. Whether you are starting to paint or an artist underway, this workshop will be informative and playful.
