On Friday, December 17, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Gualala Arts will present a Christmas Show for your enjoyment.
All of your favorite Christmas songs will be performed by local vocalists who just love to sing. You will recognize them from the various plays and musicals put on by both the Art Center Theater and the White Barn on The Sea Ranch. They've never been together on the same stage at the same time so be prepared to be awed.
Some of the performers will be: Laurie Kreger, Cassy Grossman, Tony Ariola, Phil Atkins, Lynne Atkins, Sita Milchev, Olivia Harrison, Sabina Walla, Ellen Buechner, Elise Allen and Laura Leigh. A fabulous new trio will be entertaining you, "The Redwood Tree-O," which has finally come together after the original group disbanded over twenty years ago, featuring Sabina Walla, Tony Ariola and Sita Milchev.
A skit, "A Showbiz Christmas Carol," written by Garrison Keillor, acted by Jim Riley, Mike Turner and some of the above vocalists, should put a big smile on your face.
Lynne and Phil Atkins will bring us a lovely Christmas skit which hasn't been acted here for at least ten years.
Jim Riley will give a rendering of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." When was the last time you heard anyone read this great old story?
The Ernest Bloch Bell Quintet, a smaller group of The Ernest Bloch Bells (but the punch in sound is just as good) will play for your listening pleasure. That group consists of Tina Ballagh, Lucienne Allen, Gail Thompson, Jeanne Jackson and Sita Milchev.
Blake More will be reciting a new Christmas Poem for all of us to ponder over. She is a well-known local performer and we're in for a treat.
Mike Turner will read a piece written by Peter Arnott, "Gifts of The Season," explaining why we love Christmas-time so much.
Don Krieger will be on keyboard.
This show is for everyone in the family. Don't miss it! Come and share this evening of fun and joy. The performers will have a rousing time on stage and you're sure have a good time too!
Tickets are $10 in advance, $5 more on the day of the performance.
Youth 12 & under are admitted free.
