Gualala Arts will host the Coastal Singers for their Winter Concert on Monday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. They will perform music set to traditional melodies and texts from around the globe. Selections will range from Eastern Europe to music set to Japanese and Chinese poetry.
There will also be a traditional carol sing immediately following their Winter Concert, complete with yuletide punch. Tickets are $15 advance, $5 more day of event; youth 7-17 free.
The
Coastal Singers
are a community based choral group with membership extending from Sea Ranch to Elk. They provide an opportunity for members of the community to enjoy singing of a variety of genres culminating in two yearly concerts, one in December, the other in May. The group does not limit itself to any particular repertoire. Since its beginning in 2007, the group has performed music from the classical, jazz, Appalachian, Renaissance and Broadway traditions.
