The Broadway shows featured in this year's Local Eyes fund raiser for Gualala Arts are top notch. Sita Milchev, Gloria Wood and Phil Atkins, ("Two Plus One") bring us ballads and comedy songs with solos, duets and some very clever trios.
Some of the shows featured are: "Starting Here, Starting Now," "The Most Happy Fella," "Cabaret," "Closer Than Ever," "Company," "I Love You, You're perfect, Now Change," "Pajama Game," "Ragtime," "Jekyll and Hyde," "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Phantom."
You'll remember Gloria from last year's
Broadway Babes
fund raiser. Phil performed brilliantly as the Beast, while Sita did her shuffle as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast,
Art Center Theater's winter musical. Don Krieger, the infamous "orchestra" for Art Center Theater's musical shows, is again lending his nimble keyboard fingers for this revue.
The four musicians are happy to bring their talents once again to the stage at Gualala Arts on Saturday, March 8th at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 9th, at 4:00 p.m. Tickets this year are $25 for adults which include a "small plate" at intermission. Children 7 to 17 tickets are only $10 with an advance purchase. If you wait till the day of the performance all tickets are $5 more, if they are available.
The fabulous Martini Bar (as well as the beer and wine bar) will be available before the show as well as at intermission. As the house will be set up with cabaret tables, this show is bound to sell out, so get your tickets early. Remember, this is a fund raiser.
