On Monday, November 7th, at 8:00 p.m., as part of the Gualala Arts Lecture Series, Carole McQaurrie will give a talk using her photographs to illustrate the remarkable geography of Chile with its mountains, deserts, fertile valleys, and fjords and glaciers in the south regions. She will begin with a brief history of Chile using many of these photographs. The second part of the program will consist of a photographic travelogue of the couple's adventures in Chile.

Chile In 2003, Carole McQuarrie moved to Santiago, Chile, accompanying her husband, Donald, who had been invited to inaugurate a Ph.D. program at the University of Andres Bello. Retired from her own field of avian sciences studying nerve and muscle development in tissue culture, Carole began to study the history of Chile and to photograph the journeys the couple made to Chilean Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
