The sound of four and a half octaves of handbells and chimes will fill the Coleman Auditorium with beautiful holiday music. Under the direction of Jeanne Jackson, the bell ringers will perform some of your favorite holiday pieces.
Singing is an important part of every bell ringing performance. Remi Alexander will sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Karl Young will join in on his shakuhachi. Linda Bostwick and Rachel Kritz will sing the first verse of "Angels We Have Heard on High" in two-part harmony and the audience will be invited to join them for the next two verses. Catherine Miller will lead an all sing on "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Cyndy Solomon joins the bells on her recorder for "Pat-a-Pan."
Two not-to-be missed performances will be Eric Kritz on clarinet playing "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and Sita Milchev and Cassy Grossman singing "Mary, Did you Know?" all accompanied by the bell choir.
The Coastal Singers will add their beautiful voices and four-part harmonies to this concert, performing three pieces and joining the bells on "Winter Wonderland."
This concert is sure to put you in the holiday spirit!
Santa Claus will be making a personal appearance and will hand out candy canes to children of all ages. Santa will be there at 2:30 pm.
Refreshments will be served.
