The Coastal Singers will perform their annual concerts
on Saturday, May 4 in Point Arena, and Sunday, May 5, in Gualala.
The Coastal Singers in their 2012 concert at the Gualala Arts Center,
conducted by Carolyn Steinbuck.
The program ranges from classical and gospel to jazz and pop, performed by the 25-voice chorus. The Coastal Singers are conducted by Carolyn Steinbuck, accompanied by pianist Renata Yardumian, with Daney Dawson, bass, Dan Albrecht, drums and Francis Rutherford, cello.
Concerts will be held at St. Paul's Community United Methodist Church in Point Arena on Saturday afternoon, May 4, 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday afternoon, May 5, 4:00 p.m. at the Gualala Arts Center.
Admission to both concerts will be by donation at the door.
The Coastal Singers has roots (and several members) dating back more than 20 years, and was formerly known as the Highway 1 Jazz Choir and the South Coast Community Chorus, all conducted by Carolyn Steinbuck. The group rehearses Thursday nights at St. Paul's Community Methodist Church in Point Arena from September until its concerts in May each year.
The Gualala Arts Center, located at 46501 Old State Highway in Gualala, CA,
is open weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and weekends from noon to 4:00 p.m.
