Jazz Artists
Paul Mueller, tenor saxophone
Keith Abrams, acoustic bass guitar
Paul Mueller and Keith Abrams have been combining musical forces for ten years, aligning themselves with the schools of James Brown, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk, et al, as well as certain Brazilian and Afro-Caribbean masters.
Inspired by the intensity, focus, elegance, raw swagger, and sheer poetry of those masters, this duo strives to express the various realities of life, from the gritty to the very fine, tempered by that sometimes forgotten quality known as "class". They have penned a number of compositions which they perform. They also perform original arrangements of classics.
Always reaching for the heavens with their feet planted firmly on the ground, these guys never fail to give it their all, every time they play. Their goal: to present the music of the moment in the moment.
