The Bay Area Basket Makers return to Gualala Arts Center
for their annual show and sale of fine crafted basketry and gourd art.
Come and meet the artists at the opening reception on Saturday, May 8 from
5 to 7 p.m. The show will remain through June 6. Admission is free. The show is a revelation for fiber art enthusiasts,
collectors and makers of art who appreciate the fine, labor-intensive
craft of basketry. All basketry techniques will be represented at the
show. Bay Area Basket Makers is an 80+ member group that have
mastered the arts of coiling, twining, plaiting, weaving, and knotting.
The group has evolved and enlarged to create its own unique and
award-winning styles. View
