Ling-Yen Jones and Madeline Kibbe are friends and artists who work in very different media. Over the years they have enjoyed several opportunities to work together and the results have been surprising and inspiring to both of them. They will once again be exhibiting their work together, this time at the Dolphin Gallery from the opening Saturday, July 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. through August 4.
Ling-Yen Jones
is an accomplished jeweler who has lived here on the North Coast for over ten years. Her work is mainly done in Sterling silver with a variety of gems. At once delicate and slightly mischievous, Jones' jewelry is imbued with the personality of its maker.
Madeline Kibbe grew up in Connecticut but has made her home here for almost twenty years. She studied printmaking in college but for the last many years has been painting on silk. Bold color and pattern are characteristic of her work. The foyer space at Gualala Arts Center will be ideal for exhibiting some large scale sculptures and kites.
The two artists will be showing their own work as well as combining their talents for some collaborative pieces.
The Dolphin Gallery is located at
39225 Highway One in downtown Gualala, CA
(behind the post office on the south side).
Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
