"A Feast For Your Eyes," an exhibit of watercolors by Grace McMaster with
the gold and silver jewelry of Walt Rush, opens on November 5th and runs
through the 19th at the Dolphin Gallery in Gualala. The reception is on
Saturday, the 5th from 5:00 - 7:00 with the artists attending.
Grace McMaster is a thirteen year resident of Gualala. She grew up five
blocks from the ocean in San Francisco where her love of her surroundings
began at an early age. Her watercolors reflect this sensitivity to
landscape and her love of color.
"I have worked in many mediums, but enjoy the unpredictability of
watercolor. I am happiest when in the process of painting. Even when I'm
not painting, I am constantly thinking of pieces and subliminally the
painting is forming before it hits the paper."
"A Feast For Your Eyes" will have many varied subjects and sizes of new
paintings for you to enjoy.
For over 35 years Walt has been creating and designing jewelry. In order to
achieve some of his creative designs he has developed some unique
techniques. Since moving back to the coast Walt has been concentrating his
efforts in designing one-of-a-kind jewelry and precious metal sculptures.
Walt believes jewelry should be an adornment to the human body, just as a
painting is to a room, or a sculpture is to that special place in a home,
or yard. His works-of-art in jewelry or treasured precious metal sculptures
are designed for today's artistically minded consumers.
Walt is available for custom design and jewelry repair work at the Dolphin
Gallery every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and at the Prentice
Gallery in Fort Bragg every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Dolphin Gallery is located at 39225 Highway One in
Gualala, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call
