Finding the Gualala Arts Center

Heading north on Highway 1
After crossing the Gualala River Bridge, follow the Gualala Arts signs. Turn right on Old State Highway, turn right on Gualala Road/Old State Highway, turn right once again into the Gualala Arts Center parking lot.

From San Francisco

Route 1 – Scenic
Take Highway 101 north for 5.5 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza. Take the Highway 1 exit and continue north for 110 miles to Gualala. NOTE: About 9 miles after you pass Bodega Bay you will come to the Russian River Bridge. Turn left after you cross the Russian River Bridge to stay on Highway 1. Continue north on Highway 1 for 40 miles.

Route 2 – Fastest
Take Highway 101 north for 33.5 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza. Take the E. Washington Street off ramp in Petaluma. Turn left at the end of the off ramp. Continue on this road for approximately 30 miles. Now you are on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. Continue north for approximately 9 miles. Turn left after you cross the Russian River Bridge to stay on Highway 1. Continue north on Highway 1 for 40 miles.

Route 3 – Via Santa Rosa and Russian River Wine Country
Take Highway 101 north for 54 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza. When you reach Santa Rosa, take the River Road exit. Turn left at the end of the off ramp. Continue west on River Road for approximately 20 miles. When you reach the stop sign in the town of Monte Rio, the road splits. Take the right fork. Continue for approximately 8.5 miles to Highway 1. Turn north on Highway 1 and continue for 40 miles.

From Sacramento

Route 1 – Fastest
Take Interstate 80 west towards San Francisco. As you enter the Vallejo area, take Highway 37. Go west on Highway 37 for approximately 16.5 miles. Turn right onto Lakeville Road. In 11.5 miles you will come to Highway 101. Go under the freeway overpass and continue on Lakeville Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto E. Washington Street in Petaluma. Continue on this road for approximately 29 miles. At this point you are on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. Continue north for approximately 9 miles. Turn left after you cross the Russian River Bridge so you remain on Highway 1. Continue north on Highway 1 for 40 miles.

Route 2 – Via Santa Rosa and the Russian River Wine Country
Take Interstate 80 west towards San Francisco. As you enter the Vallejo area take Highway 37. Go west on Highway 37 for approximately 16.5 miles. Turn right onto Lakeville Road. In 11.5 miles you will come to Highway 101. Take Highway 101 north for approximately 21.5 miles. Take the River Road exit. Turn left at the end of the off ramp. Continue west on River Road for approximately 20 miles. When you reach the stop sign in the town of Monte Rio, the road splits;take the right fork. Continue for approximately 8.5 miles to Highway 1. Turn north on Highway 1 towards Jenner. Continue north on Highway 1 for 40 miles.

From Oakland and East Bay

Route 1 – Fastest
Take Interstate 580 West across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Highway 101. Go north on 101 for approximately 23 miles. Take the E. Washington Street off ramp in Petaluma.   Turn left at the end of the off ramp. Continue on this road for approximately 30 miles. At this point you are on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. Continue north for approximately 9 miles. Turn left after you cross the Russian River Bridge to stay on Highway 1. Continue north on Highway 1 for 40 miles.

Route 2 – Via Santa Rosa and Russian River Wine Country
